Joey & Bri's Hidden Valley Wedding Photos
Another wedding, another blog! This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with Joey and Bri on their wedding photography at Hidden Valley in Varysburg, NY. Joey and I first got together in the spring of 2013 to work out the details for what he and Bri were looking for. then in the fall, we met up to do their engagement shoot at Letchworth State Park. (I’ll post a few of those photos below.) It’s been a strange summer here in Western New York. The temperature has been far below what we’re used to for this time of year. We’ve had a lot of cold days recently, so it was nice to get back into the 70’s on Saturday.
We started with the bride and groom getting ready. Having two photographers made this part of the day easy, and Joey and Bri will also get a lot more photos in the end. Once everyone was ready we headed from the Lockport area to Hidden Valley for the ceremony. The forecast said it was supposed to rain around the time the ceremony began. Thankfully, it held off—mostly. As Bri was coming down the aisle, it began to sprinkle. At this point, we’re all in, no matter what. After a minute or two, the rain subsided. The rest of the ceremony was perfect! Only after it ended did the rain start again.
Hidden Valley is a very unique place for a wedding. There’s a beautiful view any direction you look, and the inside is just as impressive. On top of all that, they actually have a ton of exotic animals you can see on tours! Thankfully, the only animal we saw inside was an eight foot stuffed grizzly bear!
