Hey! Today I have the pleasure of sharing Chris and Hillary’s Strathallan wedding photos! Just a few weeks ago, I did a wedding here at the Strathallen, so, I was excited to come back and try to do something different. We started things off on the top floor of the hotel with the Bride and Groom getting ready in different suites. Once everyone was all set, we went over to the ballroom to set up their first look. It’s always a special a special moment and this one was no different!
Once Chris and Hilary had a few minutes to themselves, we headed a few blocks away to the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery. We spent some time both inside and outside the Art Gallery. It was pretty cold but the bridal party did an amazing job despite the weather. When we had what we needed, it was time for the ceremony!
The Strathallan has an incredible view of the city of Rochester, especially from the 9th floor. This is where the ceremony was held—surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows with the city all around us. It was a beautiful ceremony with Chris & Hillary’s closest friends and family. During the cocktail hour following the ceremony, I was hoping to take some photos with the bride and groom and the sunset. It had been overcast all day but the clouds were starting to break up a little. Finally, I saw what I needed and got Chris and Hillary and brought them out on the balcony, just as the sun broke through. It was perfect timing! We were able to get some really incredible photos over the next few minutes.
The rest of the night went as planned with toasts, dinner, dancing, and a party! Once the sun was fully set, I brought Chris and Hillary out for a one more shot with the cityscape in the background. It’s another one of my favorites from the day.
